If your current domain registrar is becoming expensive for your business, most likely you would like to change it to another to save money.
In this article, I would like to tell you how the transfer process works.
First step, select the new registrar for transferring the domain name, which is cheaper than the current registrar. After that, select the domain transfer option on the website of your new registrar. Now, you need to put the domain name which you want to transfer in the given box on the website and need to make the payment for transferring.
After that, you will get an email from the new registrar which will tell you to confirm the ownership of that domain name which you want to transfer.
To confirm the ownership of your domain name you need to give the “Authorization code” of your domain name to the new registrar.
You can obtain this “Authorization code” from the admin panel of your account at the website of your old registrar.
After giving this “Authorization code” to the new registrar, the domain transfer process will be initiated. However, you need to make sure that your domain would not be in locked status because if it is locked for security purpose, then it cannot be moved to the new registrar.
After initiating the successful transfer process, you will receive the notification from your old registrar that they have received the transfer request from your new registrar.
Now, it will take approximately ten days to complete the transfer process.
